
1. Describe what you do in 3 words.
G: Love, learn, work hard.
2. Your hobby?
G: Sleeping. With 2 kids, in the last years, sleep became a hobby.
3. Your background: where did you grow up, school, formation.
G: I grew up in Iasi, Romania, D. Cantemir high-school, foreign languages sector, Al. I. Cuza University, Management specialty.
4. What is your daily trigger?
G: I wake up wishing to do something meaningful in that day. Even if is a small thing, playing with my kids, but teaching them a value or a life principles.
5. What do you think design management stands for?
G: Design is not only about idea, creation and inspiration. Design is a process, a structure, a plan and implementation. If an idea is not well implemented and structured, then you didn’t have a good idea.
6. How important do you think design is in business?
G: One of our senses is sight. Our life becomes better and more beautiful having this sense delighted. Design is definitely also “responsible” for delighting this sense. This principle is applied in our life, but also in business.
7. Coffee or tea? Beer or Wine?
G: Never tea. In fact, only when I am sick.
Wine, but first, tequila.
8. Why do you think the world and all companies need design for?
G: Through design we can solve all of the world’s different kind of problems: if my furniture doesn’t fit in my kitchen through design I can fix this; if my customers can’t find my company, design can help me; if a hospital bed for patients is not sufficiently comfortable and useful, we can improve this through design…and the list can continue.
9. Your biggest achievement yet?
G: My two energetic boys.
10. If you could have one dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
G: I know this sounds macabre, buuut…Steve Jobs. He was & still is my favorite business icon. I would have loved to know how he was in his personal life, his passions, his behaviors, his weaknesses and his fears. How come he knew the name of his every employee??? 😊
11. The first 3 things you notice about a person in a meeting?
G: Shacking hands, attitude and the position of the body.
12. What would you tell your 10-years-ago self?
G: Focus, be patient, think twice before you take a decision.
13. If you would write a book what would the title be?
G: I will never write a book. I am not the best at “words”.
14. Five things you couldn’t live without.
G: Ok, things, people not included: food, phone with internet, a blanket, eye glasses, Google calendar.
15. The most important quality of yours that brought you where you are right now.
G: Flexibility. I couldn’t have done it without…a great dose of unconsciousness.
